MS Filter plants have been delivered to, or are on order to over 30 communities in Canada and the U.S.A.
White River is located on the Trans Canada Highway in Northern Ontario just north of Lake Superior and is the home town of the bear cub Winnie that inspired the tales of Winnie-the-Pooh The town needed a new water supply and treatment plant to provide the residents and businesses with the best quality potable water system available. In addition, the Town was also very interested in preserving the beautiful local environment with an chemical free treatment process. MS Filter supplied a 2,100 m3/d treatment system that does not use pre-treatment chemicals and does not produce chemical sludge. Raw water colour is in the range of 15 to 25 TCU and raw water turbidity is 0.5 to 10 NTU. Treated water colour is non-detectable and filter effluent turbidities are consistently less then 0.1 NTU.
Location: White River, ON
Date of Installation: 2005
Capacity: 2121 m3/day (0.61 MGD)
Unit Processes: Ozone + Roughing Filtration + Slow Sand Filtration
Raw Turbidity: up to 10 NTU
Finished Turbidity: <0.1 NTU
