MS Filter plants have been delivered to, or are on order to over 30 communities in Canada and the U.S.A.
AOK is a First Nation on Manitoulin Island in Lake Huron. While Lake Huron and specifically the North Channel has wonderfully clear water the community is located in a deep bay subject to local influences including algae blooms. Low levels of Microcystin LR (a toxic decomposition product of Blue Green Algae) has been detected in the raw water source. The MS Filter System removed this toxin to undetectable levels. Despite the algae loads the slow sand filter only requires cleaning once per year and the roughing filter 3 or 4 times per year.
